Delete your Miatzil account

Miatzil is the app (Android package name com.xeliuh.miatzil). This page is how you delete the account and the memory that belongs to it. You have to be signed in as that account. There is no waiting period: it happens when you confirm.

In the iPhone or Android app

1. Open Miatzil and sign in.
2. Open Settings.
3. Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

On the web

1. Open miatzil.com and sign in with the same email.
2. Open Settings.
3. Tap Delete my account, then confirm.

What is deleted

Delete my account destroys the encryption key and the memory it protects. That includes notes, photos, clips, voice, people, reports, reminders, songs, the files stored for the account, the push registration, and the sign-in itself. It cannot be undone, by us or by anyone. We do not keep a copy of that memory: the database’s own backups, kept only to recover from a failure, roll off within 14 days.

What a store may still have

If you paid for Miatzil Pro, Google Play or Apple may keep its own receipt of that purchase under that store’s rules. That receipt is not a copy of your memory. The billing record Miatzil kept for the account is deleted with the account.

One person, without closing the account

To remove one person and what Miatzil has filed about them, open that person and delete them. The rest of the account stays. Everything else goes when you delete the account.

If you signed in with Apple

When the account uses Sign in with Apple, Miatzil asks Apple once more while you delete it, so that Apple stops listing Miatzil under your Apple Account. If that step is cancelled or does not work, the account is still deleted, and you can remove Miatzil yourself: on an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, Sign in with Apple, then Miatzil, and stop using it; on the web, go to account.apple.com, then Sign-In and Security, Sign in with Apple.
